or rather - a multi-hyphenate.
Most artists are multi-hyphenates, having to wear many hats to tell their stories.
An interactive workshop designed to bridge the gap between artistic training and
professional sustainability. Classroom style lecture meets interactive break out
groups. Teams build a strategic pitch/producer plan for the class while receiving real-
time feedback with a collaborative Q&A.

BONUS
Actors who write, writers who direct, directors who produce and want to get past a
specific obstacle in production pipeline and develop a strategy for next steps.
It can be tailored to focus on specific areas like finding your authentic voice, writing,
team-building, financing, or setting goals. Alternatively, it can cover aspects of
development and production, scaled to projects ranging from new media
<$10K up to $1M feature films, across varying union budget levels.
For example at Colleges/Universities the focus is typically an overview of each aspect
while solely focusing on short films under $10,000.
Most workshops for artists and actors focus on either performance, film production,
or business skills—but few truly integrate all three in a way that empowers creatives to
build sustainable, self-driven careers.
How-To-Multi-Hyphenate: From Whiteboard to Green Light is different.
It’s not about waiting for permission from industry gatekeepers or following a
traditional, linear career path. Instead, this workshop is designed for actors, writers,
and creatives who want to take control of their artistic careers—producing their own
work, building teams, and securing financing while collaborating with fellow artists,
entrepreneurs, executives, etc. who share in your vision.
What Sets This Workshop Apart?
🔹 Hands-On & Actionable – Not Just Theory
Most workshops offer panels, lectures, and broad industry advice, but few provide a
structured, hands-on approach to turning an idea into a real, producible project. This
workshop is built around the Build A White Board method ®, an interactive system that
helps creatives:
- Identify their unique creative voice
- Generate, organize, and develop project ideas
- Create an actionable production and financing plan
- Take meaningful steps toward execution—immediately
🔹 No Gatekeepers, No Waiting
Unlike traditional film schools or industry programs that emphasize high-budget
studio models, this workshop teaches scalable production strategies for projects
ranging from micro-budget short films <$10K to $1M+ independent features.
Participants leave with a clear roadmap, whether they want to produce a short, web
series, feature film, or independent TV project.
🔹 Designed for Multi-Hyphenates, Not Just Filmmakers
Most producing workshops assume you want to be just a producer or a director—but
what if you’re an actor-writer-producer? What if you want to balance multiple creative
roles without burning out? This workshop is designed specifically for artists who don’t
fit into one box.
🔹 Scalable for Any Career Stage
Whether you're a college student, a professional actor looking to produce, or a
filmmaker pivoting to bigger projects, this workshop meets you where you are. You
can focus on the area you need most—whether it’s financing, team-building, writing,
or setting production goals.
🔹 Industry-Proven Methods, Not Hypotheticals
This isn’t just theory—these strategies have been used to launch projects that have
raised over $700K, screened at top-tier festivals worldwide, and reached millions of
viewers. Whether you’re producing a short film or developing an independent TV
project, these are the same real-world approaches being used right now to get work
made and seen.
🔹 Ongoing Support & Community
Most workshops end when the session is over, leaving artists to figure things out
alone. The goal of How-To-Multi-Hyphenate as we build our brand is to simultaneously
build a community of creatives who continue to support each other through
networking, mentorship, and collaboration.
Final Takeaway: A Workshop That Puts You in Control
Without a clear strategy, too many artists get stuck in the cycle of waiting—waiting for
the next gig, waiting for the right funding, waiting for someone to greenlight their
project. This workshop breaks that cycle by giving you the tools to create on your own
terms. By the end, you won’t just have ideas—you’ll have a plan to bring them to life.
This isn’t just a workshop—it’s a game plan for artists who are ready to take action. If
you’re tired of waiting for permission and want to turn your ideas into reality, this is
the place to start.

Abstract
"I started producing to create opportunities to act. And began writing to dig inside
and express the world from the lens through which I experience it. Each of these skills
has bolstered my work with newfound confidence, risk-taking, skills for text analysis,
and deeper relationships.
I get up when I get knocked down to bring the stories I believe in to life. I’ve built
teams of hundreds, raised hundreds of thousands of dollars, and screened all over the
world. I crave the challenge because it provides more experience and tools from which
to pull.
I’m passionate about being a working artist and sharing with you because our industry
is shifting. Those who respond will be a part of the change. Tell your stories! Build
partnerships with organizations, communities, and each other. Create new models for
how stories get made.
Empower yourself to build the part of your career you can control. Your authentic
voice has an opportunity to shine a light on humanity in more ways than one."
